I agree but…
Las Vegas is almost as good as Provo for BYU fans. Tons of local fans in LV. Centrally located between (and a short drive from) AZ, UT & So. Cal which are the strongest Church populations centers. Add in the fact that Vegas is a destination in and of itself and that the new Stadium was also a big draw it’s a no-brainer that we showed that well “on the road”. A holiday weekend also helped I’m sure.
That’s being said, I think all your points about us traveling well are 100% true and will be evident in the Big 12. Just pointing out that the Vegas game was probably a special case.

We’ve had it confirmed that the big12 knew BYU added value in 2016 - and that was when OU and UT were included. Imagine
