For all the complaining about Todd Noall taking advantage of unfortunate off-field circumstances to mock Max Hall by using his mugshot, how often do we post that collage of Utah fan mugshots. Or laugh and make jokes about Jamal Anderson snorting coke off a toilet.

And then we think it's offensive and/or trashy (depending on your perspective) when people make references to the male anatomy when talking about a coach. Not that we'd ever make ongoing tired jokes about an opposing coach's anatomy, certainly nothing about repeatedly mentioning a vestigial tail, right? That would be trashy and low-class...if someone else was doing it. If we do it, it's hilarious.

Same thing with calling an opposing fanbase Zoobs or Zoobies vs Yewts. One is played-out and pathetic, reflects poorly on the fanbase, but the other is just a natural part of a rivalry and clever, right?

I'm OK with being offended by Noall and/or these podcast losers. I'm also OK not being offended. What I'm not OK with is painting an entire fanbase with one brushstroke as a result of it, especially when we do a lot of the same things. If we're going to judge Utah fans for not holding their trashier compatriots accountable (which is tough in cases like the video where most of them didn't even know it was a thing that happened), then we need to start acting better as well.

Like I said, I'm fine going either way. This post says to embrace the mockery, and if we're willing to do that, then yeah, we can continue to make the same jokes. But to take offense while simultaneously doing similar things is just the height of hypocrisy.
