Oh absolutely, we're in agreement there
I think people mocking Kalani for dancing after he wins a big game against a rival (that has beaten his team for a decade plus and that he has extra invested in since he used to coach there) is absolutely inane.

I love Kalani's dancing and exuberance. And that's not just because I'm a BYU guy; I'd love it if any other coach did it. Showing emotion and joy in a non-demeaning way is something that all sports could use more of.

So, yeah, it's absolutely an overreaction for them to call him out for that, regardless of whether it's with or without profanity.

But making half the front page of CougarBoard be reactions (either offense or laughing at or chastising) to their reactions to Kalani dancing is also pretty embarrassing.

Which brings us full circle to what the OP wrote - that we need to see things like this and avoid getting so invested into it, whether it's being offended or treating it like it's absolutely pathetic/embarrassing. It's a couple dummies who don't represent the majority of their fanbase and who say dumb things to try to get a rise out of us.
