One of my pet peeves. Reminds me of a certain LDS OL at U of Arizona. He gave a
fireside in Tucson about the time he had developed into a surefire NFL prospect.

An audience member asked him if he had considered going to BYU after his two years at a JC. The OL responded that since BYU didn't offer him out of high school, he resented it and so when BYU and many other schools offered him out of JC, he gave BYU no serious thought. Of course, the Arizona fans in attendance loved this little anecdote.

So, hold on just a minute. If he ended up going to a JC out of high school rather than D1, doesn't that mean that NOBODY offered him? Certainly U of A didn't and he ended up going there anyway.

It just makes no sense why BYU gets this kind of resentment when no other school does.
