remember BYU recruiting this kid out of HS. He ended up going to Ricks from California, which probably meant he wanted to keep in touch with BYU or they with him, or both.

In any case, there are lots of other schools an athlete like this will play that never even bothered to make contact. Why not circle them as well? Because that was his dream school?

In BYU's case, it infects the entire family to the point where younger, more talented siblings don't even give the Cougars the time of day.

You just don't hear about this type of grudge with any other school.
