I thought it was a basic courtesy to follow up after an interview to let the person know if they got the job or not. I did some follow-up calls and they always seemed surprised that I was asking. I'm still in the same industry and would probably decline any opportunities to work with these specific people because it indicates a lack of thoughtfulness. They have secretaries. How hard can it be to have them call those on the list that didn't get the job?
