“There’s no room for error…” There is an incredibly large amount of room for error between “no error” and 6 turnovers.
Limit yourself to, I don’t know, three, and we win. Three turnovers is quite a bit of error, but we’d still win with this defense pretty easily.

They scored a total of 12 points (and no TDs) on drives that didn’t start inside our own 25 yard line today. Only 9 points on drives that didn’t start on our side of the field after a turnover.

That’s not a defensive loss. Sorry.

But if your counting each conversion as equivalent to a fumble, I could see you thinking that. But unfortunately your “stop on 3rd down” and offensive fumble equivalency is RIDICULOUS.

Our offense fumbles on our own 23 yard line and they get the ball already in scoring position. Today those resulted in their only TDs.

OTOH, We stop them on their 40 on 3rd down and we get the ball right ther… oh wait… there’s this thing in football called 4th DOWN. They punt. And we get the ball 40 yards away from the spot. Not remotely like a fumble.

You want to talk about getting a turnover on downs being equivalent to a fumble, fine. But only our HC and OC put their team in that position this game… twice.

But if you actually believe allowing a third down conversion is equivalent to a fumble, I can finally understand why you blame the defense the way you do.

It’s totally wrong, but it explains your stance.
