That was a big part of it, but we were gonna suck bigtime regardless.
Reid's recruiting had bottomed-out, & Majerus was picking up a lot of the slack which he had lost instate.
Reid was a dang good coach, but he was just too rigid in too many things — to keep up with the changes in the game. And he was too heavy-handed in his approach to let others work him into a better place.
That was how I saw it, anyways. I supported coach Reid right through that final half-a-season, but I shed no tears when he was removed.
