It was by far the least talented roster in modern program history
Mark Madsen played for Stanford
Nate Knight played for Oregon State (prior to Kentucky)
Byron Ruffner was suspended
Ryan Cuff played for Weber State
Robbie Reid was on a mission
Chris Burgess signed with Duke
The roster ended up being dominated by freshmen. Many of whom weren't D1 talents. The amount of LDS talent in the 1990s was insane. The basketball program could have been a consistent top 25 team, but alas it came down to poor recruiting.
