Like, the policy was only Bronco's. You are making big assumptions about why the policy is there, and who was driving it.
Have you read the honor code? Do you know what an eccliastical endorsement is, and what it means for admissions? Do you not remember all of the other BYU athletes getting suspended at the time who weren't football players?
These are all rhetorical questions, I'm just in awe that you think the honor code was a problem that Bronco created for himself. I've never heard that narrative before now. At the time, the honor code was a problem that Crowton created for everybody, and I did fear at the time that the BoT would not hesitate to shut down the program if Bronco couldn't clean it up, and thank the good lord that he did.
