Arguing with someone who is really blatantly stubborn (my opinion, I know you disagree) on their position that Bronco deserves no praise or recognition when he comes back to town, and that his problems that he overcame with the honor code were by-in-large self-inflicted.

I read that article you're referencing multiple times, and I am still in shock that you came away with the conclusions that you did, but there is nothing I can do to persuade you that the line you quoted was taken out of context if you read the whole article. By your reasoning, Bronco Mendenhall is a complete moron who creates policies for himself by his complete own doing, really without much influence by his bosses (It's "Bronco's policy" after all), and that the AD and university president have nothing better to do in their lives than hold the moron accountable to himself by his own moronic policy, because "that is what good leaders do."

I love a good debate as much as the next guy too, but you take things out of context, insult my job ("cracker factory"), insult my former and current bosses as bad leaders, and then label me as emotional when I throw a little bit of that rhetoric back at you. I sincerely apologize if I offended you, as that wasn't my intent, it was more a intended as a light-hearted jab back at ya for a jab thrown my direction, but it seems it was taken in the wrong direction with your labelling me as "emotional," so in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have made my case in that way.

But, you also shared personal experiences from your own time at BYU where former players told you how hard Bronco made honor code issues on them, apparently. I'd never heard experiences like that from any player before, but it's your experience, so I can't argue against it, and only you know how much/little exaggeration there is in the story. There is really no more room for debate, if that's what you're looking for.

Again though, you're right, I will concede the loss and move on, and wish you well this weekend cheering on the Cougs against the coach that you are completely emotionless against, yet are still desirous to spend more time talking about him than anybody else in this thread. 😉
