I think he is just plain scared of being burned over the top.
He'd prefer to die by a thousand paper cuts than a couple of quick gashes to the jugular.
I get it, but I think it is the wrong philosophy for d1 football.

Wazzu we dropped 8 more than any other game all year. Expect the same v. UVa. It is smart defense for their scheme.
