Georgia and Alabama will play each other before the bowl…
Michigan St and Ohio St will play meaning 2 of those 4 teams will not be in the CFP. Assuming Cincinnati wins out with a win over Notre Dame and a ranked opponent for their conference championship (do they do that?) there’s a strong possibility they still make it in. Assuming we also win out that means we would be the highest ranked team not in the CFP that is also not currently in a P5 conference other than Notre Dame, themselves. Wouldn’t that make us the automatic qualifier for NY6?
