I've said this before. I was worried that Bronco had reached the ceiling for BYU as an independent. Turns out...
It was his ceiling. He's a good coach. He did a good job of rebuilding a mess of a program at Virginia. But it looks like he has hit his ceiling there too.
Watching his team in Provo, it was shocking to see how poor of a team they were on defense. That was something i thought I'd never see from a Bronco Mendenhall coached team.

a little unfair, their defense was miserable, but if they don't lose Armstrong, they beat ND and Pitt and he's a hero

It’s Virginia, not BYU. The coaching pool is endless. You take your shot on a guy just like everybody else
