Where in the article does it mention the hot seat? Did you read it?
Anyone that follows that program knows there isn't anyone that will do better, at least that would take such a sucky job.
They were the worst team in the conference for several years and are now middle to upper half. Recruiting has improved. Toughest schedule possible with non conference games against ND and at BYU and still get to bowl game, that hadn't happened for 8 years, now 5 in a row. They can't even afford a $20 milion facility upgrade and you're suggesting they will want to buy out 12+ million remaining the last 3 years?

a little unfair, their defense was miserable, but if they don't lose Armstrong, they beat ND and Pitt and he's a hero
