Full disclosure, I count it as my first real job because I was actually branching out from my family’s feedlot doing the same work. Got paid in food and a bedroom for the work on the family feedlot up until then per my dad. I should also note that after several years doing that, I never complained about anything someone asked me to do at work once I became an adult because I always knew there were people who worked in agriculture who were working in really tough conditions making far less than what I was.
