Every job i've worked at there has been plenty of people who have made a career
out of "just getting by" and usually that was doing very very little except when the boss was around. Usually this happens when you are working on a team and the rest of the team picks up the slack

Because it can be really hard to make sales, has a risky pay structure, and requires being very extroverted.
