Because many people don’t like sales. It’s a hard job that not everyone is good
at. It carries a ton of risk if your income is all or mostly dependent on commission.
Many don’t enjoy the sales dynamic, where your success relies primarily on your ability to persuade someone to buy a product that you may or may not care about.
For many, sales is not intellectually stimulating and can be very boring and tedious.
