Update on trying to buy a home in Utah
My wife and I have put in offers of 25k - 35k over on about 5 properties in the past couple of weeks, 8 in the past month. (including both condos and Townhomes) We have yet to get an offer accepted, and came in 2nd place twice - both times to offers that were significantly over asking. Multiple of these properties were cash offers, with 2-week closing dates.

Not sure what else we can do to compete. I don't feel great about offering more than that over, but maybe that is what we will have to do?

Also, crazy that condos in utah are going for 410k to 420k right now... oh well! Everywhere I read that prices are expected to increase 20%+ this next year as well. Oooof.
