I know this has been repeated a bunch.. and its not super helpful for your case
But I've really changed my desire to live in this area (UT/ID) as I've gotten older.

I'm already locked in and that's fine, though if my wife/family were up for it I would cash out tomorrow and move to a lower cost of living/housing area.

When I was younger I wasn't really open to that but now I totally would be.. Personally, I'm going to really try and open my kids eyes to that possibility especially given the circumstances w/ the housing market like you've shown.

With that said, Utah is special in a lot of ways so I totally get the need for people to stay and make it work.

Good luck. I imagine it will work out soon.
