I and my wife are foodies. One of our /favorite/ things to do when traveling?
Street food. It can be so good and you can get such a good feel for the culture, all at a fraction of the cost of a sit-down restaurant.
One of the best things I've ever tasted was sharing a simple bratwurst sandwich, a crepe with nutella and bananas, and some warm kinderpunsch with my wife and kids in Germany. So simple, but sooooo good.
