Spot on. People suggesting Pope has some social relations pathology ain't going to fly. He is well within the range of
normal, and in many ways masterful.
He works hard, is determined and able to build a winner, and has to make some difficult calls to upgrade the roster.
Lohner was a setback. Pope had Caleb on the preseason All-WCC first team and that went South. That's a sad one, the only unfortunate player move under Pope, and the only one who left with a BYU scholarship on the table.
But it's crazy to use that as a basis to ignore how quickly and how far BYU basketball has been upgraded these past 3 years.

Lohner loves coach Pope. He didn't leave because he was unhappy. Baxter may or may not play meaningful minutes again.
