That seems reasonable

It would also explain the due diligence being done. SMU, USF etc are working to build up their facilities - because there's a chance the Big 12 loses other teams. And the Big 12 is keeping an eye on schools like SMU and USF and others...because they also know it's a possibility to lose some teams
