good. I personally don’t allocate to bonds and would probably put all of it in a passive S&P 500 index fund. Given how choppy the market is, I’d probably dollar cost average rather than put everything in all at once.

And you can’t 1031 exchange the gain from your house anyway, even if a part is taxable (not likely).

1031 works if you are buying an equal or higher value home.
