2008 was a total anomaly. Today is nothing like 2008.
People are buying homes these days to live in using cash or conventional mortgages. Hardly anyone is flipping homes these days.

In 2008 people bought homes they never planned to live in using junk mortgages.

Sure there will be a price correction. That's not that abnormal. But people aren't going to walk from their homes en masse like in 2008 (it was actually 2006 that it started)
