For me it’s the opposite. My heart yearns to have an epic annual rivalry
in the conference like we used to. My best BYU football memories are the BYU vs Utah games in the 2000s. They are more intense than any other BYU games.
However my head says it would be better for BYU football if Utah was left behind. It would a sad prospect to me to give up the opportunity of epic rivalry games, but it probably would result in more BYU success in the future.
