How many schools would the Big 10 prefer over Utah?
Assuming the SEC schools are untouchable
1. Notre Dame
2. Oregon
3. Washington
4. North Carolina
5. Duke
6. Virginia
7. Stanford
8. Probably Colorado
9. Probably Georgia Tech
10. Probably Cal
11. Maybe Arizona
12. Maybe Pitt
I’d put Utah at the Kansas/Iowa St level of desirability.

Why would Big Ten be willing to lose money in order to invite Utah. Utah doesn't make the pie bigger

Killing off the ACC makes the pie bigger because it gets rid of that TV deal and there's more money to spread around
