Lots of contracts in place reinforce the existing structure with lots of financing behind them. Not just teams contracting with the conference either. The conference contracts with tv, has contractual rights to bowls and the playoffs, has defined revenue sharing, has rights to Texas and OU payouts for leaving, etc. I don’t see this happening. Far easier to just poach some schools from the PAC 10*
