krindorr Intervention Needed
So here's a question (with lots of background, sorry...)
Let's say the PAC12 and Big 12 want to combine for a best-of conference.

In that case, teams you definitely want include the following:

Brands: Oregon, Washington
Markets: Washington, Stanford and/or Cal, Arizona St and/or Arizona, Colorado, TCU, UCF, Houston
Football Talent: Oregon, Washington, Utah, BYU, Cincy, Oklahoma St, Baylor, maybe Houston.

So right there we're up to 15 teams (if we take Stanford AND Cal as well as ASU AND Arizona).

For the last one, it's probably Texas Tech, just for another Texas school. Same reason we take Cal.

And that's exactly the 16 that he ends up with. So you're only losing 2 (Oregon St and Washington St) from the PAC and 4 from the Big 12 (Iowa St, Kansas, Kansas St, West Virginia).

So if we want to keep a P5 moniker, maybe look to the PAC and try to figure out a way to dump Wazzu and Oregon St.

So here's the question (finally)

If you're Wazzu or Oregon St, how much do they need to give you to make you go away and let them keep the name? Keeping in mind that the alternative they are threatening you with is a bunch of them joining the Big 12 and leaving you without a conference anyway?
