I can think of a few reasons…
1. Big 12 schools want more woke culture (can’t get enough of it) and figure this would be a great way to do that.
2. Big12 schools are jealous of the paltry TV revenue payouts that Pac12 teams are currently getting from their TV deal and would love to trade down to get in on that.
3. Big12 schools really admired how deftly the Pac12 schools navigated the whole Covid crisis and would love to benefit from their leadership and decision making.
