After a few months, all of the software engineers not in India were let go. I sent out 165 resumes over 1 week, and took interviews to match salary and not have a long commute. My salary is actually better because I get a bonus at the new job.

I went from 6 weeks PTO (not including sick) to 3 weeks per year. But the new company has more holidays and I work 9's, so I get every other Friday off. I plan on retiring within a couple of years.
