Been there/done that...and it is an awesome feeling. I anticipated the layoffs
early enough that I had the next job lined up and guessed on my start day. (30 days out)
When the ax started falling around the office, I knew my timing was good. Ended up with a nice two week hiatus between jobs and the severance made it all sweeter.
