The pac won't give away their games for free. Despite what has been written, they still have options outside of ESPN. (pac12 network, streaming, tbs, etc) certainly not great options... but options that will prevent them from a complete lowball offer.

And ESPN needs Pacific time zone content. They have a lot of hours to fill with very little west coast content. The SEC gives them premium East/Central games.. the PAC would fill out the mountain/pacific time zones.

So in my opinion, they need each other.

I think a deal will be announced before the first games are played. But who knows... this whole thing has been crazy. I never thought UCLA of all schools would be in the B1G.
