ESPN needs inventory. Perhaps that inventory is cheaper via the P12 than the B12. Perhaps overpaying slightly for the P12 is still preferable to paying much more for the B12 if undercutting the P12 makes the conference dissolve. And all of this is only possible because ESPN didn’t purchase any inventory from the B10. That’s all I was getting at.
