If the B12 is truly on NBC and Fox’s radar then ESPN would be interested in keeping the P12 together, since the four corner schools leaving for a bigger payday in the B12 would all but doom the conference and (if ESPN doesn’t end up getting part of the B12 rights) mean ESPN would end up with no late night inventory.

Again I have no idea how it’s all going to play out, but I think the “good” news for the P12 is more about ESPN’s now pressing need to sign a deal for more west coast content, and that need possibly translating into a desire to keep the P12 together and viable.
