When the alternative to 1.5M viewers for a late P5 football game is 300k viewers for a MWC game or 80K for a late night studio show, then that P5 football game has a ton of value. Earlier on Saturdays there is a ton of available football inventory, but there are only so many power conference options for the 10 ET broadcast windows. So to grab those viewers you need the inventory to consistently fill that time slot and you’ll pay a premium for it because of the disparity of viewers for alternative programming.
