Actual expiration depends on the temperature
it has been kept at, how many times it has been out of the fridge and for how long, how may times opened/used, etc. At my empty nest house it's still good after the expiration date.

The date's only a guideline. Smell it to find out if it's actually bad or not.

When our milk is near or at the expiration date, I pour some in a glass and smell and/or taste it. Don't judge...

Ever since I accidentally drank the chunky milk I will sniff for every glass.

I only use that date when purchasing. After that it is always a use until it

That is a sell by date. Not expiration date

All our milks say best by, not sell by

‘Best by’ does not man ‘expiration’. Just a potential not to taste ideal
