Are you arguing that Cincinnati should be higher ranked? That 31 is unfair to
them?
5 seasons ago, Cincinnati was 4-8 playing in a G5 league.
So if the formula takes past seasons into account, then predicting some regression to the mean for a team like Cincinnati makes a lot of sense.
