The one knock on Jaren in prior years was he wasn't great at seeing and
throwing at guys across the middle (where many of your tight end routes are). I think he's been much improved this year so I could see what Pitta is saying and makes it tough when you have the WR talent we have.
The main issue I think is we are stacked at all receiver positions including tight ends and there maybe isn't enough to go around. When you have Puka, Gunner, Rex, no matter how good your other receivers are, those guys a re proven experienced and will get first dibs leaving less for other talented receivers. In other years I think Holker, Keanu Hill, Chase Roberts, and even Epps might be our #1 receiving option. This doesn't count other great options like Mason Wake, Cosper, and Carter Wheat that you have to throw to when they are honed in on our best options.

Holker quitting was a loser move, but I'd rather BYU utilize more TE routes, especially if the running games < 3ypc

And you don’t hear him complaining. I think i’d rather have a Rex on my team more focused on doing what it takes to win
