You’re badly mistaken. First, BYU has a long history of great tight ends. Pitta

is in the conversation for best ever. But Chad Lewis, Gordon Hudson, Chris Smith and others belong in that conversation.

Second, Holker caught five passes against Oregon. Tied for the most on the team with Epps. For historical reference, future pro bowler Chad Lewis averaged 2.5 per game in 1996 (his senior year). And BYU was a lot more pass happy back then.

Holker had his issues. But under utilization wasn’t one of them. If you ask me, Holker’s number 1 issue is Holker. How many tight ends that want to play in the NFL do you see getting owned when trying to block a safety?
