Throwing to Wake for 2 yards a pop and the last drive against Oregon is over half the TE receptions this year. Those passes to Wake arent TE routes as much as fullback screens. Rex and Holker had a combined 9 catches outside of that one drive against Oregon. That drive really made no sense either. Down 3 scores with 2minutes left and you finally throw 5 underneath passes to your TEs
I get it from the stat police. They are still catches. The same way a 4th string RB gets yards in garbage time. I get it, it counts but we re talking about in game when it counts usage not mop up time. There was almost 0 usage against Baylor and not a lot against Oregon before that drive

Holker quitting was a loser move, but I'd rather BYU utilize more TE routes, especially if the running games < 3ypc
