...Jaxson Robinson imo. So far in the parts of 2 seasons that he's played on 2 different teams he's taken 87.6% of his shots from 3. It's a small sample size but shows his focus with the ball in hand. He's an extremely confident shooter with good height and long arms who will get a lot of catch and shoot situations on the perimeter with Pope's focus on forcing the D to shift and making the extra pass in the offense.
I would love to see stats on the right number of 3PA's a team should strive for in college bball, I'm not sure what that happy equilibrium is but I think for this BYU team to reach their potential they need to take more 3's (and obviously make more) than they have been able to the past couple seasons. Looking at the NBA the Celtics took a big step forward last season when they increased the pct of 3PA's to 42.4% of their overall shots taken (about a 10% increase from previous year). The Warriors took an even higher pct, 45.5% of their shots were from 3 last year.
With better spacing and more ball movement (rather than so much dribbling like the past couple of seasons) this team will be fun to watch.
