You can't compare BYU breaking down the various groupings to generally available
data on all teams that does not. Rush numbers, include sacks, (the comparable data generally available), BYU was good stopping the run as generally reported after Q1. If you have a national breakdown that separates it all out for all teams, good teams, bad teams, etc. feel free to share.

They averaged 3.6 yards per rush, and that was after the awful first quarter where they averaged over 7. The D tightened

Yes because teams only run the same plays they have already run that season and take the exact same approach they have..
