The burden on their shoulders is high. The empathy for them is low. Expectations

From loved ones, if they have any, are high. Those who have no loved ones have come to perceive that they've failed in the main purpose of life by that point. Their natural instinct is to hide pain. It's not surprising to me that this demographic leads the way here.
