Non conference games are at the beginning of the season. Teams improve over the
season, especially ones that capture momentum. That's the first point. The second point would be if they won their conference they deserve a shot.

We do it in basketball, why are some people so opposed to doing it in football? If you give them a chance, you're leveling the playing field and there will be more parity across college football, which is a good thing. Way too many people on CB are acting like yewts about this. We've always wanted to be included, but we sure are quick to cling to the system that kept us out all these decades now that we're a few months away from being included. A fair chance for everyone is all I'm saying. Obviously there will be blowout games, but to that team and that fanbase, the fact that they made it and had a chance will mean everything. Right now most teams are excluded from having a chance before they take the first snap of the season.
