A couple of things here:
1. I don't believe its correct to say the RR's allegations were proven false. BYU failed to find evidence to corroborate that her claims were true. Those two things are not the same. Something can be true even if you can't find evidence to support it. Until she says "OK, it didn't happen" or there is credible evidence from another source that she made things up (i.e. someone she knows reports that she admitted to them the allegations weren't true), I don't think there will be any proof that this is false.

2. What are your reasons for saying you don't believe he was ever racist? Do you know him or have some insight into who he is as a person? You may be absolutely correct, but it something like this seems like a hard thing for you to have a belief about when the only thing most of us know is the pictures of him that were circulated in the media. When you defend someone's honor without really having personal knowledge, it just sounds like you just generally disbelieve allegations of racism and have a strong bias against them having merit.

I don't think every allegation of racism is true. I also don't think every such allegation is false. I think we need to actively work to suspend our personal biases (and at least be conscious of them) and look at the evidence in each situation, and try to make decisions that are fair and impartial.
