1. That's fair. Based on what I do know about the allegations and investigation, I do feel confident that the allegations are false. But you do you. I have my reasons.
2. As recent as last week, I have had multiple conversations about him with a few of his former players at BYU - some of which are not white. They felt he had no prejudices against or antagonism towards them on the basis of their ethnicity. Their opinions are definitely valid in my eyes. They vouched for him as both a coach and person. Additionally, he had former teammates who vouched for him and supported him after the photo circulated and he issued his apology.
And to the final point in your post- you are preaching to the choir (I'm actually a decent soloist too 😀). I have volunteered hours and hours of my time for the greater part of the last decade as an advocate for civil rights in all of its forms in my local community and where I can otherwise. This is definitely not a subject I need to be lectured on.
