oversees nothing of note apparently.
Every Head Coach in college football has their finger prints and influence over every aspect of their program but at BYU if there is something to be criticized it’s always someone else’s fault and never Kalani’s.
Harbough, Swinney, Reilly, Saban, Dykes etc… Every single game they are the most vocal and most active coaches on the sideline. Communicating, doing hand motions, coaching, talking to refs, calling timeouts etc… Clearly demonstrating what head coaches do for their programs and yet I’m told that Kalani does none of these things that make him responsible for any risk elements of the program — meaning anything that could go wrong Im told Kalani is not responsible for.
If these same things go south for other programs it’s their head coaches who get put on the hot seat and we see it all the time with head coaches who last less than 4 years with their programs.
But at BYU it’s always someone else’s fault. Best Head Coaching job in America.
