even if the best LDS players aren't here that's often the case for BYU...
...Frank Jackson committed to BYU early on but once his recruiting blew up he was no longer interested in BYU. He even had Utah in his final group of schools because of their being in the Pac12. Jabari gave us a courtesy interest but he wasn't really interested in BYU. If they're really good (good enough to be major impact talent) then it's tough to get them

Carlson didn’t want to wait behind Childs again. He did that in highschool and that’s why he went to Utah.
