now that door access is electronic there aren't sets of keys floating around
..like in the old days. Electronic key fobs can get terminated so they no longer have access if you don't return it once you're released from a calling that required building access so they can keep stricter control of who goes in and out of buildings. Back in the old days when you had keys, people hung onto their keys and didn't turn them back in so you could find a ton of people who you could borrow a key from. Not as easy today. Just a handful of people have a key fob for the building and they've been instructed to be judicious about lending them out.
